She’s disappeared without a trace, and the police have no leads as to what happened. Suddenly, Melody’s new home becomes the place of her worst nightmare. Since the death of their parents, Melody and Lyric only have each other. No matter what it takes, Melody won’t give up until her sister is found. LUKE Luke Meade returns from a mission and goes about his normal life feeling anything but normal. What he and his brothers believed to be a search for a young runaway turned into a case of human trafficking. They found the woman they were looking for, but the others they couldn’t save still haunt him. When Melody Douglas drops into his life, she’s a breath of fresh air in a life that’s threatening to choke him, but his brother saw her first, which means she’s off limits. When Luke finds out Melody’s sister is missing, he can’t walk away. Melody wants to leave the search for her sister in the hands of the police, but Luke and his brothers step in with their own investigation. The Legends rescue Lyric from a crew of criminals terrorizing the community, but since she is a witness to their crimes, the threat to her and to Melody is far from over. Melody might be drawn to Luke, but she’s reluctant to accept help from a man who seems to operate outside the law. Luke’s priority is to keep Melody and Lyric out of the hands of criminals, but he’s also determined to earn the trust of the woman who’s gotten under his skin. Luke and Melody may find common ground when it involves fighting off a threat, but will they be able to find their way when it comes to matters of the heart? |
